Target is a pretty popular store. They have a ton of great products, at great prices.
When it comes to electronics–and cheap affordable laptops, in particular–they have a few decent offerings, but not always the lowest price.
But recently they featured a pretty great deal on a cheap laptop from Gateway. The price was slightly above the $200 threshold, but close.
Coming in at $274.99, the Gateway features a nice 15.6 inch screen, 500 GB hard drive and 4 GB of memory. And for the price it has some other nice features like SD card reader (to easily take photos and video off your camera), a really handy HDMI connection (for connecting to your big flat screen TV) and the latest version of Windows 8.1.
It’s great to see solid, brand new laptops at this price, as it really opens up the flexibility and portability of a productive tool to a lot more people.
